Level 1
Essential Protocols and Principles
Classical Tui Na Level 1 teaches 15 basic hand techniques, concepts of touch, and how classical tui na theory and practice integrates into the theory and practice of acupuncture and herbal medicine. Students will learn a back-regulating protocol and building blocks for core protocols of upper, lower limbs and face and neck. Students will learn Qi Gong Hand Strengthening exercises foundational to their tui na practice.
The first in our Classical Tui Na Series, this class enables you to utilize a profound branch of Chinese Medicine with tremendous positive impact for your patients.
Level 2
Treating the Neck & Upper Limb
Our Classical Tui Na series continues with protocols and principles for treating injuries and conditions of the neck and upper limb. We introduce detailed modules for the neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand, and effective tui na treatments for common conditions such as rotator cuff injury, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, and other complaints frequently seen in clinical settings. Our Qi Gong series progresses the student into internal regulating practices to improve well being and hand sensitivity. Level 1 is a prerequisite for this class.
Level 3
Treating the Lumbar & Lower Limb
Our Classical Tui Na series continues with protocols and principles for treating injuries and conditions of the lumbar and lower limb. We introduce detailed modules for the lumbar, sacro-illiac joint, knee, ankle and foot, and effective tui na treatments for common conditions such as low back pain, runner's knee, ankle sprain, bunions, foot neuromas, and other common complaints frequently seen in clinical settings. Our Qi Gong series focuses on developing power from the kua to engage larger, global Tui Na techniques such as joint rotations and bending and extending. Levels 1 & 2 are prerequisites for this class.
Treating Internal Conditions
In some internal conditions, Tui Na is the first and best treatment, acting more quickly than either acupuncture or herbs. This unique class focuses on those conditions such as asthma, dysmenorrhea, headaches, coronary artery disease, where hand techniques and practical protocols can produce amazing effects. This class also introduces students to more subtle hand techniques to balance the organ system and three burners of the body. Our qi gong also becomes more subtle to focus the practitioner’s energy and intent.

Essential Treatments for Common Injuries
Treating sprains, strains, fractures and other traumatic injuries is the bread and butter of an acupuncturists and other body workers. We have so much more to offer than just rest and ice! Learn how Chinese medicine can bring patients back to health and full function quickly and effectively. This seminar includes a complete discussion and evaluation of soft tissue and bony injuries, trauma and shock, insect bites, and other "weekend warrior" injuries. Through external application of herbs, gua sha, 7-star hammer, cupping, moxa, and more, this class provides the practitioner, coach or concerned family member with effective tools to treat trauma.
Half Day
Martial Arts Medicine for the Training Floor
As martial artists we often find ourselves having to evaluate and treat injuries on the training floor. This class will address how to asses injuries, when to refer the student to medical care, and how to use traditional remedies to treat on the spot. Participants will learn how to use poultices, liniments and gaos to treat common martial arts injuries, from a jammed finger to a sprained ankle or broken rib. Primarily lecture and discussion, the class will provide participants with a basic understanding of theory of injury that will allow them to better care for their students.

Dao Yin - sometimes called Daoist Yoga - are millennia old practices that help to keep the energetic pathways of the body open and flowing. Good health is achieved through gentle stretches and self-massage. In the course of two hours, students will learn the importance of proper breath and movement, and how a simple and easy 15 minute routine can radically change their health.
